Policies Conditions

Overview

The Codes and Policies form the Agreement you enter into whenever — and wherever — you commence or continue any conduct or service relating in any way, directly or indirectly, to The C&C Ikoku Foundation. Please, therefore, take the time to read what follows carefully.

I — Your Policies Agreements

— first, with respect to the Agreement you enter into with The C&C Ikoku Foundation, you understand and agree to abide by the following:

i. Agreement: Name, Nature
that the name of the agreement is “The C&C Ikoku Foundation Conduct and Service Agreement” (the “Agreement”) and that the nature of this agreement is to serve as the code of conduct, the products and services agreement, and the user agreement of The Chinyere and Chinelo Ikoku Foundation.
ii. Agreement: Composition
that the Agreement consists of the Codes and Policies of The Chinyere and Chinelo Ikoku Foundation (the “Codes and Policies” and the “Policies”), which collectively include the Basic Policies — the Conditions and Terms of Founding, the Conditions and Terms of Governance, the Conditions and Terms of Conduct and Service, the Founding and Governing Code of Ethics, the Acceptable Use Policy — as well as all other codes and policies, associated as the Correlative Policies.
iii. Agreement: Governing
that the Codes and Policies and Agreement are to be adhered to by you when relating to The C&C Ikoku Foundation, and are to govern all your conduct and service — including any act, activity, agent, arrangement, asset, or involved material or matter — relating to The C&C Ikoku Foundation, in any way, either directly or indirectly, via any manner, means, method, or mode.
iv. Agreement: Commence, Continue
that whenever you commence or continue any conduct or service relating to The C&C Ikoku Foundation — directly or indirectly as further described below — you are agreeing to the Codes and Policies, as they are amended from time to time solely by the Founder, and you are agreeing to enter into the Agreement.
v. Agreement: Direct, Indirect
that whenever you commence or continue any of the aforementioned conduct or service directly or indirectly — whether through The C&C Ikoku Foundation, or through natural or legal persons commencing or continuing conduct or service relating to The C&C Ikoku Foundation, or through any act, activity, agent, arrangement, asset, or involved material or matter relating to any of the aforementioned — you are also agreeing to the Codes and Policies, as they are amended from time to time solely by the Founder, and you are agreeing to enter into the Agreement.
vi. Agreement: Binding, Valid
that via entering into the Agreement as described above, you are also thus indicating that you understand the Codes and Policies, that you intend them to be the legal equivalent of a signed, written contract, equally binding, and that you accept the Codes and Policies and agree to be legally bound by them (your “Agreement”).
vii. Agreement: For Organization
that whenever you commence or continue any of the aforementioned conduct or service for or on behalf of an organization, you are agreeing to the Agreement on behalf of that organization, and represent and warrant that you can do so.
viii. Non-Agreement: Not Commence, Continue
that you will not commence or continue any of the aforementioned conduct or service, in any way, either directly or indirectly, via any manner, means, method, or mode, if you do not agree to all of the Codes and Policies or if your jurisdiction will not honor them.

Ethics at the Foundations, in Foundation

The Codes and Policies above deeply reflect the founding and mission of The C&C Ikoku Foundation. They inform the work of The C&C Ikoku Foundation and efforts to achieve benefit, impact, and success. The result, therefore, are three features evident in the organizations, their products and services, and most importantly, their communities:

I.

Nonprofits Dedicated to Africa

Independent, private, non-profit organizations that serve the public interest in Africa and its global diasporas — by advancing education and research and by also supporting creative ideas, civic endeavors and emerging communities, organizations and societies.

II.

Support for a Global and Just Future

A founding mission and ongoing emphases of support for good works that help the public understand Africa’s essential place in a global future, one that is to be more knowledgeable, environmentally sustainable, equitable and of benefit across communities in just societies.

III.

A Vision of the Public Good

A vision of the public good that accounts for the past while ensuring a just and shared future. That draws inspiration from peoples who, despite a history of systemic difficulties, maintain an unyielding belief that the betterment of their human condition will foster the betterment of those living around them and will enhance the present and futures of the regularly disenfranchised, marginalized and underserved.
