On Being Aware and Sustainable
The Alvan Ikoku Foundation are committed to fostering awareness of impact on communities, societies, and their environments, and to advocating activities and operations that reduce negative effects and increase sustainability.
Therefore, persons engaged in activity within, for, on behalf of, in reference to, and otherwise pertaining to The Alvan Ikoku Foundation are expected to uphold the following:
Environmental and Sustainability Concerns Defined
— that The Alvan Ikoku Foundation ensure evocations of and references to environmental concerns, harms and remedies mean and include only evidence-based and scientifically proven harms to the biospheres and physical and vegetative environment, and evidence-based and scientifically proven remedies to such harms.
— that The Alvan Ikoku Foundation ensure evocations of and references to sustainability mean and include only evidence-based and scientifically proven reduction of the above harms, and evidence-based and scientifically proven application of the above remedies.
Communal and Societal Impact Assessments
— that The Alvan Ikoku Foundation ensure periodic assessments of activities and operations impact on biospheres and physical and vegetative environments, and on the sustainability of communities and societies where such activities and operations are conducted.
— that The Alvan Ikoku Foundation make every reasonable effort to reduce consumption of biohazardous substances, through conservation, re-use, recycling, substitution or other measures.
— that The Alvan Ikoku Foundation make every reasonable effort to reduce air and noise emissions that pose evidence-based and scientifically proven biohazards to the biospheres and physical and vegetative environment.
Waste Disposal and Recycling
— that The Alvan Ikoku Foundation implement a regulations-abiding and systematic approach to reducing and responsibly disposing of or recycling scientifically proven biohazardous waste.
Environmental and Sustainability Laws
— that The Alvan Ikoku Foundation obtain, keep current and comply with required environmental permits and reporting requirements of applicable law and regulation.
Accordance with Ethics
— that The Alvan Ikoku Foundation ensure following any and all of the above principles further remains in accordance with the Codes and Policies and especially the Founding and Governing Code of Ethics.
Accordance with Mission
— that The Alvan Ikoku Foundation ensure following any and all of the above principles further remains in accordance with the founding mission and purposes of The Alvan Ikoku Foundation, without incompatibility, as described and delineated in the Codes and Policies and the Founder’s Declaration of Trust.
Central and Associated Policies
As stated earlier, The Alvan Ikoku Foundation User Agreement and Code of Conduct consist of several Codes and Policies that collectively govern all of your activity with, within, for, in reference to and otherwise pertaining to The Alvan Ikoku Foundation. Your Duty to Corporate Integrity
And you further legally accept and agree that no application, interpretation, judgment, or other compliance, proceeding, or reading from, of, with, or otherwise relating to the Founding Ethics, the Codes and Policies, or any equivalent code, policy, or other document or material shall, in any way, entail any abrogation, diminishment, interference, or violation pertaining to any of the terms, conditions, principles, requirements, rights — including the attendant properties and protections — of corporate and organizational integrity.
